This is the Chinese crane carrier
Zhen Hua 11
arriving in Gibraltar for refuelling. One of her sister ships,
Zhen Hua 5
turned up here just over a year ago.
The temperature in the morning is quite chilly - about 76^ Fahrenheit for those of us who are mystified by Centigrade.
On the way down town my girlfriend spots something lurking in the undergrowth ...
Not sure what has upset this young lady but let's hope she gets some good news soon.
When we get back we notice a couple of local burglars climbing up the building by clinging onto the lightning conductor!
Obviously, if there were to be a storm they could be severely shocked so purely in the interests of Elfen Safety we decide
to deter them.
After some thought, we decide to drop ice cubes on them from a great height, not trying to hit them, you understand,
just persuade them to move elsewhere. The fact that the evidence quickly melts is purely coincidental. One of my ice
cubes hits the balcony below with a very satisfying clang and the burglars flee - for their own good, you understand.
Off we go to La Cañada, where my girlfriend takes surreptitious photographs of pretty girls. It's a tough job but somebody's got to do it.
In the morning we hear sirens wailing closer and closer - it turns out that some people are stuck in our lift.
Today my girlfriend is flying off to see her mum for a few days so we spend the morning doing airport type things until she
goes.
In the late afternoon I set off for a bite to eat. Unfortunately, while I was photographing an empty shop in Main Street
somebody walked right in front of the camera. Sorry about that.
This is the brand new Celebrity Equinox "making her debut in August 2009" by sliding into Gibraltar harbour in the morning mist. Well, fair enough, she is quite a looker.
When I get up the first thing I see in the bay is the LPG carrier
Lalla Fatma N'Soumer
which is evidently named after the Algerian answer to Joan of Arc. I'm sure the
CESM
will be pleased to hear about that.
I spend all day writing computer code.
